Pheona Wall is an advocate, commissioner of oaths and chartered mediator. She is a Uganda law society (ULS) president emeritus (2020 – 2022).

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

A resource in both private and public enterprises with thorough knowledge and hands-on experience in public relations, energy, oil and gas, company secretarial practice, labour law,

Pheona combines a solid corporate legal background with a well- developed understanding of both commercial and operational drivers of business.

She is a Governance Expert who trains Boards in Governance under the Institute for Corporate Governance Uganda and has also served on various Boards including Zamara Retirement Fund, Water FC, Future Investments Group, East African Young Water Professionals, Uganda Law Society, and Public Relations Association of Uganda. She is a member of various
organisations like ICGU, FIDA, IBA, PRAU, ULS and EALS.

She has handled various multi-million contract negotiations for different national and international organisations. She handled a contract negotiation of over 216 million Euros. She is regularly retained by both local and foreign investors and has played an advisory role to
two joint ventures on the Tilenga Project.
She is a Registered Trustee of Zamara Retirement Fund and a Board Member of Fields of Life
and the East African Business Council.


PROFESSIONAL ROLES PLAYED

Pheona has served as a Council Member of the Judiciary Council and also sat on the ICAMEK
and CADER Arbitration Center Boards and is currently the Vice Chairperson of the Advisory
Council of Efficacy Methodology, an African Policy Think Tank.

COMMUNITY WORK

She founded the FIDELIS LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE a leadership training institute aiming at
creating a critical mass of ethical leaders that are faithful, available, and teachable.
Pheona served as an administrator for Candlelight Foundation, an NGO in partnership with
Icelandic Development Agency to rehabilitate street girls.
She advocated for media rights like the re-opening up of the Nation Media Group’s namely;
KFM Radio and NTV station.


AWARDS AND RECOGNITION

She attained the rank of Senior Counsel in 2022 Pheona was awarded the French German Elysees Peace and Reconciliation Award in 2021 for her efforts towards fighting for the Rule of Law in Uganda.
She won a recognition award by the Institute of Corporate Governance of Uganda for her
role as a Quality Assurance Expert 2022.


She was awarded as one of Africa’s Top 50 Leaders by the African Law Tech Festival in 2020.
She also won the Hague Institute for Innovations in Law “2018 Talent to Watch” Award.
She is a two times awardee of 40 under 40 by New Vision for 2018 and 2020.
